Luren Singers open season Sept. 13
Luren Singers open season Sept. 13
The Luren Singers first practice for the new season begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13. Rehearsals are held in the high school vocal music room. New members are always welcome, but any male interested in joining Luren is especially encouraged to come to the first practice Sept. 13. The Luren Singing Society began in the spring of 1868. In 2011, Luren will begin its 143rd year of continuous existence. The Luren Singers, nearly 70 members, mourn the deaths of four members during the summer of 2010. However, time marches and fall is a new beginning. The Luren Singers look forward to presenting many concerts this year, the first being this coming October. (Submitted photo)
