The Turkey Valley trap shooting team is hosting an open house at the Turkey Valley trap range Saturday, Aug. 2.
The celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the facility, located at 3340 122nd Street in Jackson Junction. There are signs directing people where to turn off Highway 24.
People can check out the new range. Gun, target and ammo vendors are expected to be on hand. Concessions will be available.
The new trap range was fundraised by the Turkey Valley trap shooting team. It consists of two trap fields, a two-lane 300-yard rifle range and a six-to-10 lane pistol/rim fire range, with knock down reactive targets.
Memberships are for sale. They run from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. Members will receive an access code to the gate so they can shoot when the trap team isn’t using the facility.
