Highlandville's Colten Mikkelson was awarded a first place trophy in the 250B racing class and second place in 125B racing class in the Spring Grove Motocross series.

This series was comprised of four races in Spring Grove, Minn. He was also awarded 12th place in the 250C racing class at the Motokazie 2012 Annual Awards Banquet, for competing in the Motokazie Motocross Championship Series. This series was comprised of 11 races, nine at the Kellogg, Minn. Motocross track and two at the Mankato, Minn. Motocross track. Hundreds of racers competed at these events to earn points towards the series awards.

The Motokazie Banquet was held Nov. 10 at the Park Ballroom in New Prague, Minn., where families gathered to celebrate the racers' achievements. Racers range in age ability from four to over 50 years old and beginner to expert. An estimated 250 people were in attendance to watch 170 racers receive trophies, prizes and scholarships.
