With three cornerstones to the program, along with a list of new members to the team, anything is possible this spring.
Anxious to see his team grow is Head Coach David Keller, who enters his fourth season with the Vikings.
The Vikings of 2013 featured lots of returning talent, with 13 letter winners and eight returning starters. Decorah gelled throughout the season, posting a 6-5 record and 2-2 mark against ranked foes.
With a spot at the state tournament on the line, Decorah came out on a mission in the substate semifinal against Independence, winning 4-0 at home. That put them in a match with Dubuque Wahlert. Despite Decorah defeating the Golden Eagles 3-1 earlier in the season, Wahlert was the best team in the substate finale, winning 3-1 to end Decorah’s season 7-6 overall.
