Wrestlers handle dual competition

Saturday the South Winn wrestling team competed at the Dike-New Hartford duals.

The Warriors picked up two dual victories, defeating BGM 48-24 and Gladbrook-Reinbeck 51-30.
Several Warriors had great days on the mat.
In particular, Colton Hageman (195) had three pins and a forfeit on his day. He pinned DJ Ackerson of Dike-New Hartford in 33 seconds. He took 55 seconds to pin Derrick Heimer of Saint Ansgar. Hageman pinned Riley Vercande of Gladbrook-Reinbeck in just 33 seconds. He had a forfeit against Washington.
At 132 pounds, Luis Uribe had a fall, a decision and a major decision, to go with a forfeit. He had a bye against BGM. He pinned Logan Mayer of Saint Ansgar in 5:09. It was an 8-7 decision over Omar Martinez of Gladbrook-Reinbeck. Uribe defeated Tony Landstrum of Washington by a 14-1 major decision.
Ben Unzeitig, at 138 pounds, picked up three falls in five tries. He pinned Taylor Staton of BGM in 1:26. It took 1:25 for him to pin Kyle Corwin of Dike-New Hartford. He threw Huston Danker of Gladbrook Reinbeck in 5:43.
