The South Winn softball team (11-14, 8-8 UIC) went 1-for-2 at the Dunkerton Tournament Saturday.

In the first game the Warriors lost 1-12 to Nashua-Plainfield. South Winn's lone run came in the fourth.

They had six hits. Jenn Panos was 3-for-3. Brittany Shindelar had a solo homerun. She took the loss. She allowed five earned runs on seven hits.

In the second game the Warriors fell to Waterloo, Columbus Catholic 1-5. The Warriors scored a run in the top of the fifth to tie the game at 1-1; however, the Sailors scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth.

South Winn had five hits. Becca Franzen was 2-for-3 with a stolen base. Katelyn Elsbernd had a hit and the only RBI. Bayley Monroe took the loss. She gave up three earned runs on five hits.

In the final game, the Warriors came away victorious, winning 3-2 over West Lyon. After the Wildcats scored a run in the first, the Warriors came back with a run in the third. They traded runs again, with the Wilcats scoring in the fourth and the Warriors answering in the sixth. However, the Warriors broke through in the eighth to get the win.

Panos had a solo home run and scored twice. Shindelar produced two singles, Monroe and Monica Ryant had the other RBIs. Monroe was the winning pitcher. She allowed two earned runs on five hits and struck out seven.
