The South Winn girls basketball team (8-4, 7-2 UIC) is starting another win streak, having won two games over the weekend.
The Warriors defeated Valley (2-10, 1-8 UIC) on the road Friday 53-36 and then knocked off Riceville (2-9) 54-17.
Friday the Warriors had a good game on the road, knocking off Valley. The Warriors took a 12-9 lead after the first quarter. It was extended in the second frame to 30-22. The Warriors outscored Valley 23-14 in the second half.
Brittany Shindelar had a stellar game. She posted 21 points and eight rebounds. Payton Poshusta scored eight points, had three rebounds, four assists and three steals. Jessica Lensing added eight points, three boards, three assists and three steals. Jenn Panos had five boards.
