Closing out the 2013 season, the South Winn boys basketball team (4-2, 4-0) fell at home to New Hampton 33-65 Saturday afternoon.

Earlier in the week they defeated Kee 73-53.

Friday's game with North Fayette Valley was postponed, with no make-up date announced yet.



Out of conference

Saturday the Warriors faced New Hampton at home in a 2 p.m. game that was moved due to the threat of oncoming weather. It was a close first quarter, with the Warriors trailing 11-9 at the break. However, the Chickasaws exploded for 26 points in the second to take a 37-15 lead at the half. They outscored the Warriors 19-5 in the third.

The home team was led by Trevor Schweinefus, who had 15 points and two steals. Jordan Rommes added nine points and five rebounds. Christian Kleve, Adam Lensing and Andre Walz all had six rebounds.
