With the season winding to a close, the South Winn volleyball team (12-12, 6-1 UIC) hosted North Fayette Valley Thursday and traveled to the Charles City Invite Saturday.



Good game

The fans in the South Winn gym were brought to their feet Thursday as the Warriors knocked off North Fayette Valley 3-2.

It went back and forth, with game scores of 25-15, 25-27, 16-25, 25-16, 15-9.



The Warriors had 56 kills, 147 attack attempts, 50 assists, 56 digs, nine blocks and served 101-for-106 with 17 aces.

Becca Franzen served 28-for-28 with four aces, along with seven kills, 18 attack attempts, 37 assists and eight digs. Brittany Shindelar had 12 kills, 31 attack attempts, nine digs and served 14-for-15 with four aces.
