It was a pair of splits for the South Winn softball team (11-13, 10-8 UIC) as the Warriors picked up one win each against Edgewood-Colesburg and Central.

At home
Wednesday the Warriors played a make-up series with Edgewood-Colesburg (16-17, 9-9 UIC), falling 11-0 in the first game. Ed-Co scored a run in every inning but the fourth.
The Warriors had five hits. Abby Hageman had two of them. Kendal Kuboushek, Jenna Elsbernd and Taylor Buchheit also had singles. Brittany Shindelar went all seven innings, giving up six earned runs on 15 hits.
The second game was a happy one for the Warriors as they defeated the Vikings 8-2. Trailing 1-0 after two innings, the Warriors put up two in the third, one in the fourth and five in the fifth.
South Winn splattered nine hits. Kuboushek had three hits and scored a run. A. Hageman and Mogan Bohr each drove in two while Elsbernd scored twice.
Buchheit didn’t give up an earned run while striking out six.
