Last week the South Winn softball team (6-7, 6-4 UIC) picked up just one win in four conference tries. 
Thursday, June 12, they hosted Kee (14-3, 9-1 UIC). In the first game, they fell 16-3. They had just five hits. Brittany Shindelar provided three of them, including a home run, three RBI and a run scored. Abby Hageman singled and scored two runs while Courtney Humpal also had a single. Shindelar took the loss. She gave up nine earned runs on 13 hits.
In game two, the Warriors fell 9-0. Again, the offense was silent, with just three hits. Shindelar provided two of them while Taylor Buccheit smashed a double. Buchheit was the losing pitcher. In seven innings, she gave up six earned runs on nine hits and struck out five.
