The Class 1A No. 9 South Winn football team (8-2) put the game away early Wednesday night in the first round of the playoffs, defeating South Hamilton (6-4) 46-20.

With the win, the Warriors face No. 2 Dike-New Hartford (10-0) in the second round. The Wolverines knocked off Sumner-Fred 18-6 in the first round.

In South Winn's victory, the Warriors got on the board first with a Jordan Rommes 48-yard score. Still in the first, Christian Kleve got in the end zone. The Warriors continued to pound it, scoring three more times in the first half, including a Logan Schweinefus to Kleve score with under 10 seconds in the first half.
