It was a rough night on the diamond Monday at home for the South Winn softball team (8-12, 6-8 UIC), who fell twice to Valley/Postville (8-7, 4-4 UIC) in conference action.

In the first game, the Warriors lost 2-3. The Warriors scored their two runs in the first inning. That lead held until the top of the third inning, when Valley/Postville put up three.

The Warriors had just three hits in the game.

In the nightcap, the Warriors fell 6-9. Trailing 6-3, the Warriors scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game. However, V/P scored three in the top of the seventh.

The Warriors had 13 hits.



Busy times

The Warriors are at Turkey Valley tonight, Tuesday, June 20, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday they are at the Dunkerton Tournament, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday they are at Crestwood at 7:30 p.m., and Tuesday they host Decorah at 7:30 p.m.
