Going on the road to Class 2A No. 10 MFL (12-2, 10-0 UIC) Friday night, the South Winn boys basketball team (6-6, 5-4 UIC) struggled at times offensively, falling 41-80.

The Warriors stayed close with MFL in the first quarter and trailed 21-14 after one. That gap widened in the second quarter as SW went into the locker room down 19-37. MFL posted another 25 points in the third quarter to go ahead 62-35.

Trevor Schweinefus led the Warriors offensively with nine points, along with five rebounds. Jordan Rommes had eight points, four assists and four steals. Garrett Bohach and Andre Walz both had five points, with Walz grabbing eight rebounds. Adam Lensing had four blocks.
