Free throws sealed the game for the Sumner-Fredericksburg girls basketball team (9-1, 8-0 UIC) as the Cougars held off South Winn (4-4, 4-2 UIC) 59-44 Tuesday night in Sumner.

The Warriors fell behind 5-12 after the initial eight minutes. The Cougars extended the lead in the second by outscoring the Warriors 13-7 to lead 25-12.

The Warriors kept pace with the Cougars in the third, with the margin 45-35. Moving into the fourth, the Warriors pulled to within three, but the Cougars nailed 9-of-10 free throws down the stretch to get the win.
