The South Winn softball team (8-11, 7-7 UIC) split a conference series and fell on the road out of the league.

Earning a split
After falling in the first contest, the South Winn softball team rebounded to earn a split in Monona.
The Warriors fell to MFL (13-13, 11-5 UIC) 10-0 in the first game but picked up a 7-6 victory in the second.
In the loss, South Winn gave up seven runs in the fourth inning.
The offense was stifled, getting just four hits. Brittany Shindelar had two of those hits, with both singles. Abby Hageman and Mariah Hageman also each had a single.
Taylor Buchheit took the loss. She went all six innings, giving up five earned runs on eight hits.
