Getting on the courts with a week before the conference tournament, the South Winn volleyball team (12-13, 6-1 UIC) fell to conference leader Sumner-Fredericksburg (28-3, 9-0 UIC) 0-3 (13-25, 10-25, 8-25).

The Warriors served 27-for-32, to go with 17 kills, 75 attack attempts, 16 assists, 21 digs and five blocks.

Becca Franzen had 14 assists and served 5-for-6. Lexie Warth had nine kills, 23 attack attempts, three digs and served 5-for-5. Brittany Shindelar had five kills, 19 attack attempts, four digs and two assisted blocks.



The Warriors are back on the court today, Tuesday, Oct. 15, against Starmont at 7:30 p.m.
