Warrior girls first, boys second at Clayton Ridge

Facing some of the same competition they'll see at the conference meet, the South Winn boys and girls track teams traveled to Clayton Ridge Tuesday to take part in the Eagle Co-Ed meet.

The girls won the meet with 167 points, with Clayton Ridge second with 146 points.
The boys were second with 103 points. They were just seven points from first place, earned by Central.
The Warriors girls had four individuals and two relays take first. Jessica Lechtenberg was the champion in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 5:37.76. Kennidee DeVilbiss continued to do well in the 400-meter hurdles, winning in 1:13.25.
In the discus, Courtney Humpal was the champion with a winning throw of 84 feet, 2 inches. With a clearance of 5 feet, Abby Phillips was the high jump champion.
