It was a tale of two weather patterns to end the week for the Decorah girls golf team.
Friday the Vikings played in rain, wind, cold and sun but on Saturday they finally got to enjoy a spring day while hosting an 18-hole varsity tournament.

A little bit of everything
The Decorah girls got to experience just about every weather phenomenon Friday as they welcomed Crestwood to Oneota.
The varsity shot a 204 to defeat Crestwood’s 218.
Meet medalist was Savannah Lentz of Crestwood with a 39. Talia Raddatz led the Vikings with a 48. Mary Murphy fired a 49 while Ashley Gulrud toured the course in a 53. Also competing were Melanie Gossman, 54; Alexa Lensing, 56; and Courtney Robinson, 61.
“We teed off in a drizzle, then it got nice, followed by a cold rain, then it was perfect, followed by wind and cold…all in two and a half hours,” said Coach Scott Pierce.
