It was a big win in the final game of the season for the Decorah girls soccer team as the Vikings defeated West Delaware 9-0 at home Monday night.

The Vikes compete in the first round of regional play Thursday night, May 23, at home at 5 p.m. against Epworth, Western Dubuque.

Monday night's game was a flurry of scoring for the Vikings, starting with Abby Arend scoring 1:55 into the game on an assist by Stef Bjerke. Thirty-one minutes into the game, Makayla Patterson scored her first varsity goal of her career, off an assist by Maddy Hoyme, her first of her varsity career.
