Looking to get one last meet in before the conference meet Saturday, the Decorah girls swim team had a strong night in the pool Tuesday, picking up a victory at Charles City.

Decorah crushed the competition, taking first with 247 points. Charles City was second with 112.



Relays

The 200-yard medley relay started the night strong. The "A" relay group of Taylor Martinek, Alyssa Collins, Katelyn Yee and Katie Hagensick combined to post a time of 2:03.57, winning by over three seconds.

The Decorah "B" relay of Maddy Jermier, Maria Lea, Annika Wahlberg and Hayley Vogt took second in 2:07.10.

It was another win and 18 points for the Vikes in the 200-yard freestyle relay. This time, Ta. Martinek, Monica Tappe, K. Hagensick and Yee combined to post a time of 1:49.21.

Teressa Lundtvedt, Ta. Martinek, K. Hagensick and Yee posted the best time in the 400-yard freestyle. They finished in 4:16.92, besting the next relay by nearly 12 seconds.
