It was a field of tough competitors for the Decorah girls golf team Monday night at the Class 4A regional final in Manchester.

The Vikes finished 11th overall out of the field of 12 teams, carding 455 strokes. Class 4A No. 1 Charles City won the meet with 337 strokes. Second went to No. 5 Western Dubuque, which fired a 360.

Class 4A No. 1 Jessie Sindlinger of Charles City was the individual medalist with a 71. Other players individually advancing to state were Mackenzie Black of Independence, 75; Rochelle Beardsley of Western Dubuque, 78; Megan Joerger of Charles City, 83; and Kylie Bluhm of Charles City, 84.
