After picking up a win the night before, the Decorah boys basketball team (3-3, 0-2 NEIC) hosted Postville (2-4) Saturday, winning 57-49.

Decorah took the lead early, giving up just six points to lead 19-6 after the end of the first. The Pirates couldn't chip away at the lead, with Decorah going into the locker room up 29-18.

Moving into the third, the Pirates struggled to stop the Vikings, with the lead extended to 15 at 46-31 with eight minutes remaining.

"We played well at times but need to keep our foot on the accelerator and be more consistent for a full 32 minutes," said Coach Jonathan Carlson.

Decorah was led in scoring by Jacob Leeps, who had 18 points. Holt Johansen added 11. Collin Nimrod added eight while Chris Hartman had seven.
