It was a sluggish night offensively for the Vikes. Decorah scored just nine points in the first eight minutes to trail the Blackhawks 9-14 at the end of the first. Decorah did a little better in the second quarter, putting up 11 points while limiting the Blackhawks to 11 to make it 25-20 Prairie at the halftime break.
Prairie began to pull away in the third quarter. Decorah scored just four points during that time while the Blackhawks pushed the lead to 12 at 36-24. Although Decorah limited the home team to just eight points in the final quarter, the offense couldn't make up the deficit.
