Playing at Class 4A No. 10 Waverly-Shell Rock Friday night, the Decorah girls basketball team (4-17, 1-11 NEIC) fell to the Go-Hawks (18-3, 12-0 NEIC) 73-38 in the final game of the regular season.

The first round of the playoffs is Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The Go-Hawks went ahead early, leading 15-10 at the end of the first quarter. Decorah scored just six points in the second frame, allowing the Go-Hawks to increase the lead to 36-16.

Waverly led 53-29 with eight minutes to go.

Sondra Zidlicky was the only Viking in double figures. She had 11 points. Maria Hoyme and Tess Olinger both scored six points.

The Go-Hawks were led by Morgan Neuendorf, who had 34 points.
