The Class 3A No. 1 Decorah football team (8-0, 5-0) has secured at least a tie for the District 5 title after defeating Oelwein (0-8, 0-5) 63-0 Friday in Oelwein.
With the win, the Vikes earned the No. 1 seed in the district, will play the No. 4 seed out of District 6 in the first round of the playoffs and will host the first round.
The Vikes put up 35 points in the first quarter and led 56-0 at the half.
Decorah also gained nearly 400 yards of total offense and held Oelwein to under 100 yards.
