The season has come to an end for the Decorah boys swim team.
The Vikes finished sixth at the district swim meet at Waterloo Saturday, securing 69 points. Dubuque Senior won the district title with 354 points.
Decorah failed to qualify anyone for the state swim meet, being held this weekend in Marshalltown.
Although the Vikes won't be swimming at state, they did post several good results in the pool Saturday at districts.
All three relays posted times under their seed times. In the 200 medley relay, Jerod Heying, Cole Svestka, Mac Faldet and Dalton Matt cut four seconds off the seed time to finish sixth in 1:50.55. That foursome combined in the 200-yard freestyle to cut over two seconds off the seed time to take sixth in 1:34.26. Isaac Sauer, Faldet, Matt and Heying took sixth in the 400-yard freestyle in 3:38.08, an improvement of six seconds.
