Traveling to Epworth Saturday, the Decorah volleyball team (8-17, 2-3 NEIC) picked up a win over Dubuque Senior while dropping three other matches.

First Decorah fell to Epworth 0-2 (21-12, 14-21). Teeya Hovden served 7-for-7 with four assists and four digs. Tess Olinger had six kills and 20 attack attempts. Maria Hoyme made five assists and five digs.

It was a 0-2 loss to West Branch (12-21, 12-21). Riley Hubka served 6-for-6. Hovden had five assists and served 5-for-5. Shelby Stalberger served 5-for-5. Kaitlyn Kregel, Olinger and Jaci Zidlicky all had two blocks. Alexis Hove added six digs.

The lone win was a 2-1 victory over Dubuque Senior (21-15, 18-21, 15-10). Hovden had 11 assists while Hubka made 11 digs. Hubka also served 11-for-11 while Hove served 11-for-12 with two aces. Kregel, Olinger and Zidlicky again all had two blocks. Kregel had eight kills while Olinger had seven.

The Vikes fell to Tipton 0-2 (20-25, 20-25). Kassie Hoyme, Kregel, Olinger and Zidlicky all had two blocks. Zidlicky and Stalberger served 8-for-8 with an ace. Kregel and Olinger both had five kills.

The Vikes host Prairie du Chien tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 7:15 p.m.
