The Decorah girls tennis team bounced back early this week by picking up two wins in two days.

Monday the Vikings traveled to Osage for their second meet of the season. It was a well-matched night, with both teams having been hit hard by graduation the year before.
In the end, Decorah picked up the victory, 6-3.
Coach Larry Berland commended the play of No. 1 singles player Kelsey Kruse, who he said showed grit in her match.
He also was pleased with the play of the rest of his line-up.
“Katelyn Yee and Anna Spencer both hooked up in super competitive matches that could not get any closer. They both showed the tenacity and willingness to change things up when the going gets tough. That will be very valuable as the season unfolds,” he said. “Kally Peter, Molly Hovden and Maleah Garwood, playing in her first varsity match, all took care of business in a grand way.”
