The Decorah wrestling team got on a roll Tuesday night at the Carrie Lee gym, using five straight wins to defeat Caledonia/Houston/Spring Grove (Minn.) 40-32 in dual action.

The Vikings used three forfeits and five wins to defeat the Warriors.

The stretch of victories started with Hans Holkesvik at 152 pounds. The senior threw Blaine Knutson in 1:36. From there, 160-pounder Nathan Suhr put Reece Lange's shoulder blades to the mat in 3:14. Peter Kephart continued the string by picking up a 6-0 decision over Mitchell Schmitz. At 182 pounds, Tyler Hovey grabbed a 9-1 major decision over David Wagner. McKinleigh McCabe (195) kept the string alive by winning a close 9-8 decision over Victor Guth.

Also winning by forfeit were Class 2A No. 9 Kellan O'Shea (132), Class 2A No. 4 Andy Hovden (220) and Class 2A No. 10 Austin Ashbacher (285).
