The Decorah boys basketball team (4-4, 0-3 NEIC) returned to .500 by defeating North Fayette Valley (4-4) 48-43 Saturday in non-conference action.

Friday's NEIC battle with Cresco was moved to Thursday, Jan. 23, at home against the Cadets.

Saturday night the Vikings fell behind early before pulling off a great second-half comeback. They took an early 7-5 lead but trailed at the end of the first 7-9. That lead ballooned in the second frame. Decorah cut the lead to 10-12 with five minutes remaining; however, the TigerHawks took off from there, scoring 14 points in the final five minutes to take a 26-13 lead at the half.
