Vikes just short against Union

One shot made the difference Tuesday night as the Decorah girls soccer team fell at Union (La Porte City) 1-2.

The Vikings lone goal came from senior co-captain Abby Arend, who scored on a penalty kick.
The JV girls were victorious 3-0. Makayla Patterson scored two of the goals, with one coming off an assist by center back Madisyn Bockman. The third goal came from Courtney Olson, who was assisted by Patterson.
The Vikes host Independence today, Thursday, May 16, at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, they're at Waverly-Shell Rock at 7 p.m. The final regular season game is Monday, May 20, at 4:30 p.m. against West Delaware.
The Vikes start the playoffs by hosting Epworth (Western Dubuque) at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 23. The winner faces Pleasant Valley at Pleasant Valley Tuesday, May 28, at 6 p.m. The regional final is Monday, May 3, at Pleasant Valley at 6 p.m.
