In the final night of the regular season, the Decorah volleyball team (9-26, 3-9 NEIC) competed against Independence and Union in LaPorte City.

The Vikes fell to Union 0-3 (21-25, 8-25, 19-25). As a team they had 21 kills, 68 attack attempts, 19 assists, 31 digs, 15 blocks and served 49-for-50 with three aces.

Alexis Hove had 11 digs and served 11-for-11. Kaitlyn Kregel made four assisted blocks, with six kills. Tess Olinger led the way with 20 attack attempts. Shelby Stalberger served 10-for-11 with an ace. With eight assists was Teeya Hovden. She also served 8-for-8.

The Vikes also fell to Independence 0-2 (17-25, 20-25). The team produced 18 kills, 59 attack attempts, 16 assists, 21 digs, four blocks and served 35-for-36.

Maria Hoyme made eight assists and served 8-for-8. Olinger provided five kills while Kregel had four. Laura Munkel and Stalberger both had four digs.

The Vikes started the playoffs Monday at Charles City against the Comets.
