Decorah spikers Tess Olinger and Alexis Hove were named to the All-Northeast Iowa Conference volleyball team.
Olinger, a junior, was named second team while Hove, a senior, was recognized as honorable mention. Both are first time honorees.
Olinger, a 5'10" outside hitter, led the team in kills with 212 and attack attempts with 578, posting a 0.182 kill efficiency. She averaged 2.28 kills per set. In addition, she had 29 total blocks (19 assisted, 10 solo).
Hove, a 5'5" libero, led the charge in digs with 172 (1.85 digs per set). She was third on the team in assisted with 91. She also had a .948 serving efficiency, by going 238 for 251 with 17 aces. In addition, Hove was named academic all-state.
Decorah finished the season 9-27 overall, falling in the Class 4A quarterfinals. As a team they had 724 kills, 2,048 attack attempts, 638 assists, 842 digs, 222 total blocks and served 1459-for-1571 with 114 aces.
