A slow start, coupled with several unforced turnovers, led to a loss for the Turkey Valley boys basketball team (5-5, 4-4 UIC) Monday night in Postville (6-4, 5-2 UIC) as the Trojans fell to the Pirates 71-52.

The Trojans fell behind in the first 22-11. A change in the defensive scheme allowed the Trojans to create turnovers and tie the game. However, Postville wasn't fazed and forced several Trojan turnovers to go up 42-32 at the half.
