The Turkey Valley wrestling team had one final tournament before the Upper Iowa Conference meet Saturday, taking part in the East Buchanan duals.

The Trojans won 2-of-3 duals. They knocked off Jesup 37-36 and Highland 36-18. The lone loss was to Boone 45-18.

"The best way to put it, we made some strides forward with some guys and backslid with others," said Coach Steven Andrukaitis.

Tyler Sawyer won both his matches. At 182 pounds, he threw Wilson of Boone. He later threw Spencer Wieland of Highland in 1:45.

Levi Klimesh had a great day. Klimesh pinned Melton of Boone. He received a forfeit against Highland. He won by injury default against his Jesup opponent.
