The Turkey Valley softball team (13-15, 9-7 UIC) got on track Tuesday night with a nonconference victory over Nashua-Plainfield (8-15) 7-0 on the road.
Monday night’s contests with Clayton Ridge have been moved to Monday, July 7.
The Trojans struck for a run early, getting one in the second inning. They added four in the third, then two in the fifth.
Pitcher Sara Fischer spread out nine hits throughout the seven innings. She also didn’t walk anyone.
Turkey Valley utilized six hits and eight walks to do their damage.
Chloe Reicks had two of them, with a run scored. Kayla Schaufenbuel had a single, scored a run and drove in two. Johanna Blazek also had two RBI. Shelby Reicks had a single and scored twice. Arianna Rausch and Taylor Novotny had the other hits.
