The Turkey Valley volleyball team (15-10, 4-3 UIC) was on fire Tuesday night for parents' night, holding MFL (0-20, 0-7 UIC) to just 17 total points in three games as the Trojans won 3-0.

Game scores were 25-9, 25-3, 25-5.

"It was a great night tonight for our parent night. The girls played in top form and ran away with the games," said Coach Tammy Vrzak. "It's great to see them coming tonight and jelling because the season is coming to a close, and it is close to tournament time."

The Trojans had 25 kills, 58 attack attempts, 17 assists, 18 digs, eight blocks and served 64-for-68 with 14 aces.

Arianna Rausch served 22-for-23 with two aces. Taylor Novotny pounded six aces while serving 11-for-12, along with five assists and four kills. Ashley Kurash had 11 assists. Johanna Blazek served 13-for-13 with three aces, seven digs and four kills. Kennedy Balk served 12-for-12. Kayla Schaufenbuel had three solo and four assisted blocks, along with seven kills and 12 attack attempts.



The Trojans are at Postville today, Thursday, Oct. 10 at Postville, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
