The Turkey Valley football team (1-0) entered the eight man era on a good night, picking up a 54-12 win over Rockford (0-1) in Jackson Junction Friday night.
The Trojans, who last year were in Class A, started the game strong. They scored three early touchdowns in the first quarter, the first at the 8:14 mark on a Justin Hackman run. They then took a fumble recovery and in one play, were back in the end zone. At the half, they led 42-0.
