In the final three games of the week, the Turkey Valley baseball team (11-7, 5-2 UIC) earned a split at the Gladbrook-Reinbeck tournament and fell to a Northeast Iowa Conference opponent.

Tough night
Friday the Trojans fell 10-0 to New Hampton (14-3) in six innings.
The home team scored two times in the first and second innings, then added five in the fifth and one in the sixth to end the contest early.
The Trojans had just four hits. Michael Novotny was 2-for-2 while Kyle Reicks and Blake Busta each had a single.
Three pitchers took the mound for the Trojans. Riley Busta started the night. Ryan Busta and Riley Meirick also threw in relief.
“We have to find a way to string some hits together and score some runs,” said Coach Dan Stepan.
