After playing Sumner-Fred (1-0) close in the first half, the Turkey Valley football team (0-1) fell behind in the third and couldn't recover, losing 20-32 Friday night in Jackson Junction in the opening game of the season.

The Trojans and Cougars were tied at 20-all at the halftime break. The Cougars struck first in the third, taking a 26-20 lead with 2:57 left in the third. They added a final touchdown late.
