The Turkey Valley softball team found itself in a slugfest Monday night in the first round of regional play in Jackson Junction.

Unfortunately, the visitors found a way to score more runs, with Riceville defeating the Trojans 12-10.

With the loss, Turkey Valley ends the season 14-17.

Riceville (12-14) moved on to face Clarksville (20-2) Wednesday night in the second round of regional action.



TV's last game

The bats were hot for both teams Monday night, with a combined 24 hits.

The Trojans struck first, getting a run in the first inning. After Riceville tied the game in the top of the third, Turkey Valley answered back with three runs to make it 4-1 after three.
