Thursday night was a turning point for the Turkey Valley volleyball team (14-10, 3-3 UIC).

Although the Trojans fell to Edgewood-Colesburg 2-3, it was a victory in another way.

"The girls came to win and played like champs. The defense was amazing as everyone moved and dug the ball great. We played right down to the wire, but unfortunately it didn't swing our way. But when a parent of the other team makes it a point to come down by the locker room to let us know we have a very good team, it says something about those girls. It was a great night no matter what the turnout was," said Coach Tammy Vrzak.
