The Turkey Valley defense was strong to start the game. After the Trojans failed to score on their first drive, the defense came out firing, stopping Wapsie on its first drive.
However, the stop didn't last for long. Before the quarter was out, the Warriors had found the end zone.
Turkey Valley looked to get things going when Brian Schmitt returned a kickoff all the way into Wapsie territory. Despite the good field position, the Trojans couldn't convert, handing the ball back to Wapsie.
Before the half was out, the Warriors had scored twice more, putting the score at 19-0.
In the second half the Warriors extended the lead, allowing the clock to run continuously.
