Playing on the road Friday night in the Upper Iowa Conference, the Turkey Valley boys basketball team (1-5, 1-4 UIC) struggled offensively for the first three quarters, falling to Postville (1-5, 1-3 UIC) 56-37.

The Trojans fell behind early, scoring just eight points in the first quarter to trail 13-8. In the second quarter, the defense got some key stops to hold the Pirates to just eight points. However, the offense managed just one better at nine and went into halftime behind 17-21.

The third quarter was when the game got away from Turkey Valley as the Pirates held the Trojans to just five points. They added 16 to make it 22-37. The Pirates outscored Turkey Valley 19-15 in the final eight minutes.
