The gym may have been different but for the Turkey Valley volleyball team, unfortunately, the result was the same as the Trojans fell to Class 1A No. 7 Tripoli (23-14) 0-3 Friday night in Tripoli in the Class 1A regional semifinals.

Tripoli moves on to battle Bishop Garrigan (17-16) Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Mason City for the right to go to state.

Turkey Valley ends the year 20-14. The Trojans fell to Tripoli last year in the tournament.

Wednesday the Trojans lost by scores of 18-25, 18-25, 18-25.

As a team, the Trojans had 22 kills, 89 attack attempts, 22 assists, 42 digs and three blocks. They also posted a .915 serving percentage (43-for-47).
