The Decorah boys soccer team (1-2) is in the win column after defeating Independence 3-2 on the road Thursday night.
Decorah got off to a strong start when Parker Lane scored two goals in the first half. John Will Jenkins added a third goal before the halftime break.
“The boys played really well, creating mulitple opportunities to score goals and dominating the game,” said Coach David Keller. “The second half was a different story, however, with Independence coming out and playing well. After getting scored on twice, Decorah rallied and played hard to last through the final minutes of the game, sealing off the first victory of the season.”
