The Turkey Valley volleyball team played some of its best ball Tuesday night.

Unfortunately it was against the Class 1 No. 3-ranked team in the regional quarterfinals.

In the end, the Trojans fell to Tripoli 0-3 (15-25, 16-25, 12-25).

Turkey Valley ends the year 13-9. Tripoli (33-5) moves on to face Kee Friday in the regional semifinals.

"Coming up against a third ranked team can take the win out of some people's sails, but these girls came to play hard tonight," said TV Coach Tammy Vrzak. "They never gave up all the way until the final point."

The Trojans combined for a 40-of-44 serving night (.909 serving efficiency), to go with 17 kills, 60 attack attempts, 16 assists, 23 digs and nine total blocks.
