The Turkey Valley boys basketball team (2-17, 2-14 UIC) started the regular season with a win and ended it with a win.

The Trojans went on the road Friday night and defeated Valley (6-14, 4-11 UIC) 49-46.

The two teams saw each other again Monday night (Feb. 11) in the first round of playoff action.

"This was a good win for the kids, and we look forward to heading back there Monday night to play them again in the opening round of the playoffs," said TV Coach Chris Sullivan. "If we plan to beat them again, we will need to do a better job of handling pressure and also make our free throws down the stretch."
