Battling Vinton-Shellsburg Tuesday night on the road, the Decorah boys swim team picked up a win, 75-19.

Decorah won all 11 events.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Will Yahr was the champion in 2:19.92. He came back later to win the 500-yard freestyle in 6:23.22, a win by 11 seconds.

Rjis Nesset took the 160-yard IM in 2:03.25, winning by over six seconds. He also won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:13.40. That victory was close as he just edged teammate Zach Kovarik by 0.38 seconds.

Dalton Matt was a two-time winner. He took the 60-yard freestyle title in 31.38 seconds, then came back to win the 100-yard freestyle in 58.41 seconds, both times just out-touching teammate J.D. Prentice.

Even though he was the only Viking swimmer to compete in the event, Mitchell Carlson was the gold medalist in the 100-yard backstroke. He touched the wall in 1:13.84.
